Gaddafi FC have officially announced that they have appointed Wasswa Bbosa as their head coach until June 2024.
The Jinja based side which has since rebranded to Gaddafi Modern Football Club, unveiled the former Uganda Cranes Midfielder on Thursday.
According to club chairman Lt. Edrine Ochieng, “over the past years, Bossa has proved himself to be one of the most exciting and successful coaches in Uganda.”
“In our conversations with Bossa up to this appointment, we were deeply impressed with his vision for taking Gaddafi modern FC to the level we want to be competing at, and his drive and determination to achieve that.Our main target is to win trophies,” he added.
Bbosa guided Express FC to the Uganda Premier League title and Cecafa club cup in the 2020/21 campaign but was axed a few months into last season.
At the new workstation, Bbosa is aware of the task ahead but said he’s ready for the challenge.
“It is a great honour to be appointed head coach of Gaddafi modern FC and I am hugely excited by the challenge ahead. I know the fans expect their club to compete and the team’s target is to win the league so i will work towards hitting that target,” he said.
Bossa will work with Crested Cranes coach George Lutalo and Zungu Hassan as first and second assistant respectively while Sam Kawalya will be the goalkeeping coach. Balyejusa Ayub is also part of the backroom staff as the physical fitness coach, Makubuya Aloysius and Mutebe Precious as team doctors.
