BUL FC will attempt to revenge the 2021 8-1 loss against Vipers when the two teams face off again in another Stanbic Uganda Cup final this year.
To reach the final,BUL Wednesday beat Region League side Booma FC 1-0 at Bugembe Stadium to win the semifinal tie 6-1.
Karim Ndugwa scored the only goal of the day to extend his tally in the competition to 7 goals.
Like BUL,the Venoms too mangled Mbarara City 6-1 on aggregate in the other semifinal to advance to the final. This after they scored four times without reply on Tuesday at the St Mary’s stadium,Kitende.
The first game had ended 2-1 in favour of the holders.
Last season, Vipers beat BUL 8-1 at the Njeru Technical centre to celebrate their second Stanbic Uganda trophy.
The final is scheduled for June 12th at the Masindi Municipal Stadium.
With the StarTimes Uganda Premier League title already secured,Vipers will eager to win their first ever domestic double.
On the other hand, coach Alex Isabirye and his boys’ dream should be to re-write the club’s history with a maiden Cup trophy. If they win it, BUL will also earn a ticket to represent Uganda to the CAF Confederation Cup.
