
Cesar Manzoki scored twice as Vipers SC beat Gaddafi FC 2-0 on Wednesday at the St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
The victory takes the Venoms to 14 points clear over second placed KCCA FC who drew 1-1 with BUL FC at the Kyabazinga Stadium.
Vipers now need to win at most one game to be declared champions.
Coach Robertinho Oliviera and his boys take on Express in their next game and if they register a victory over the reigning champions, the Kitende side will have a fith Uganda Premier League title already secured.
Manzoki gave the hosts the lead in the 11th minute before doubling it in stoppage time. He is the current top scorer with 16 goals.
The table leaders are now on 61 points and 14 above second placed KCCA FC. Gaddafi on the other hand remain 11th with 28 points just four points from relegation.
