Comedian Salvado set to premier own tv show tonight

Patrick Idringi ‘Salvado’, a Ugandan stand-up comedian and actor will this Sunday premier his own tv show dubbed “The Salvado Show”.

Filmed in front of a live audience, featuring a live band, and led by Salvado’s mastery of both black comedy and fly-on-the-wall observational comedy, The Salvado Show
promises nothing but laughter and stress healing.


The show will be available on Pearl Magic Prime (DStv Channel 148 and GOtv Supa Channel 305) every Sunday at 8pm with the debut show premiering April 3.

The 45-minute show will among others involves celebrity conversations guided by Salvado’s easy-going and knowledgeable interview style; stand-up comedy sets from well-known names as well as up and coming comedians; and comedy skits that serve as social commentary on topical issues.

We’re pleased to have a talent of the magnitude of Patrick Salvado join our line-up with a bold and important new show that shines the spotlight on serious matters through a humorous lens,” Joan Semanda Kizza, the PR and Communications Manager MultiChoice Uganda told media during the launch of the show on Friday.

Ever since he auditioned for the MultiChoice Africa’s comedy competition Standup Uganda in 2009, Salvado has never looked back.

After emerging the 1st runner-up, the man from Ombokoro few years later decided to quit his engineering job to fully concentrate on his newfound love of comedy and the rest is history.

Through hard work and commitment, Salvado has since turned into one of Uganda’s biggest comedians.
