SC Villa are through to the next stage of the 2022 Stanbic Uganda Cup after eliminating Express 3-4 on penalties. The round of 32 game which took place at Wankulukuku on Tuesday had ended 0-0 in the 90 minutes.

Skipper Enock Walusimbi, George Ssenkaba and Arthur Kiggundu scored for Express before Faisal Ssekyanzi and Eric Kambale watched in agony as their kicks get skewed wide and saved by the Villa substitute goalkeeper Yiga Joseph respectfully.

Saddam Masereka, Nicholas Kabonge, Amir Kakomo and Ibrahim Saddam Juma converted for the Jogoos.

The victory keeps Petros Koukouras in hope of becoming the first Greek to win any trophy as a football coach in Uganda.
