Mutebi, Mayanja unveiled at AS Kigali

Mutebi has been without a coaching job since March last year when he and KCCA FC mutually agreed to terminate their working contract.

Former KCCA FC manager Mike Ray Mutebi has been unveiled as the new head coach of Rwanda Division One side AS Kigali and will be deputised by Uganda Cranes legend Jackson ‘Mia Mia’ Mayanja.
The two Ugandans have signed a two year contract.

Mutebi replaces Eric Nshimiyimana who was sacked in December 2021.

The unveiling ceremony took place on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Bugesera Stadium from where Kigali had just beaten home side Bugesera FC 1-2 in a league game. The club confirmed the news via twitter.

Mutebi has been without a coaching job since March last year when he and KCCA FC mutually agreed to terminate their working contract.

After 13 games, the Kigali City side sits in 3rd place with 23 points. Despite playing two games less, APR are on the summit with 27 points while Kiyovu Sports have 26 points in the second position.
