Harambee Stars coach Engin Firat has named the final squad for the game against the Cranes of Uganda and later Rwanda in the 2022 FIFA World Cup group E qualifiers.

Among the 24 man squad are Nairobi City Stars Midfielder Timothy “Babu” Ouma, Armenia-based Alwyn Tera and Georgia-based Amos Nondi, as well as the returning duo of Anthony Akumu and Eric Johanna.

The team is expected to have a feel of the St Mary’s stadium later on Wednesday ahead of tomorrow’s East African derby.

Although the Kenyans are out of contention for the a qualification berth, captain Michael Olunga has urged his colleagues to play for their country’s pride.

“We still have a lot to fight for, we push till the end as we build for the future. It’s an East African Derby and so we have to fight for our pride and ensure that we come back home with a positive result,” Olunga said.

Mali who visit bottom side Rwanda, top the group with ten points while Uganda sit second in the table on eight.
