StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) side Solitilo Bright Stars FC and head Baker Mbowa have mutually parted ways.
According to a statement released on Wednesday by the club, the decision was made following a poor start to the 2021/22 season.
“Solitilo Bright Stars Football Club and Mr. Abubakar Mbowa have on the 10th day of November 2021 mutually agreed to part ways.
The decision has been taken due to results and performances not being at the required level.” Bright Stars said.
Simon Peter Mugerwa who has been deputizing Mbowa will now take over the responsibility but on an interim basis.
Before the international break, Bright Stars had managed to collect just a point from a possible 15.
With only five match days into the season, Mbowa has become the second coach to lose his job after Douglas Bamweyana who resigned his role at Wakiso Giants shortly after match day 2.
