It’s not a secret any more that celebrated Mcee and entertainment TV star Edwin Katamba aka MC Kats is contemplating about quitting his job at Next Media.

This website earlier this week reported that MC Kats was set to quit NBS TV ‘After 5’ show after landing a juicy deal with Uganda Aids Commission and TASO.

And indeed, he has already begun his new job of sensitizing masses on HIV/AIDS and heads the campaign dubbed ‘End Aids By 2030’.

Sources have suggested that although Kats is momentarily still on your screens, news he might soon be a no show.

And not to be caught unawares, the media house is believed to have kicked off a search for Kats’ replacement.

Through the Nbs after 5 Twitter page, the tv station urged interested individuals to come out and try their luck.

“Have you always wanted to be part of the fantastic 4? Well here is a chance for you to make that dream come true. Simply record a short video and post it on all your social media platforms using #NBSAfter5 to stand a chance of becoming our new host,” one of the tweets reads.

Recently, Kats and Next Media CEO, Kin Karisa held a closed door meeting and sources intimated that he was there to officially say goodbye to a station he has worked for since 2016.

However, going by what the TV star posted on his social media pages after the meeting, it’s likely that he won’t completely leave the station.

It’s however not yet known if he’s to quit Nbs After 5 but remain with other responsibilities at the Naggulu based media house.

MC Kats has been a co-host of one of the best entertainment tv shows in Uganda, NBS ‘After 5’ with Douglas Lwanga, DJ Roja and DJ Mercy Pro.

Kats’ journey on TV started with the defunct WBS TV as a teenager co-presenting Teens’ Club. He later joined NTV Uganda where he was in charge of Xpozed show until when he crossed to Nbs.
