KCCA FC remain one of the few unbeaten sides in the 2021/22 StarTimes Premier League so far after a home 2-1 victory against Gaddafi FC.
After registering a 3-0 win on the road against Wakiso Giants on match day one the former league champions Saturday hosted their first game.
Two first half goals from Ashraf Mugume(19′) and Davis Kasirye(37′) were just enough for coach Morley Byekwaso and his boys to earn their first three points at the MTN Omondi stadium this season.
Despite putting up an improved performance in the second half,Gaddafi could only afford to score a consolation goal courtesy of Brian Kalumba.
And the defeat means the new league entrants have not picked any point from their first two fixtures. They lost 2-0 to Busoga United at home on their topflight debut on Monday.
Meanwhile, head coach Wamboya Mubarak was appreciative of his boys’ flighting spirit and said he was optimistic they would soon tick the right boxes.
“The boys really put up a good display especially in the second half. I am encouraged and very optimistic that we will soon bag three points,” Mubarak said.
In their 3rd game, KCCA who are now on six points, Wednesday travel to Njeru to take on Busoga United.
On the other hand, the soldier boys have already embarked on a trip to the West where they are scheduled to face fellow new comers Tooro United next Tuesday. The game will be played at Buhinga stadium.
