Micho goes for rare two-man frontline against Rwanda

Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic in a rare move, has named URA FC striker Steven Mukwala and Israel based Fahad Bayo in a two-man frontline as he released the team to face Rwanda this evening.

The Cranes tussle it out with home side the Amavubi Stars at the Stade Regional de Nyamirambo in their third FIFA World Cup qualifier.

In goal, the Serbian continues with his rotation policy as he prefers Charles Lukwaga who started against Kenya on match-day one to Ismail Watenga who was in goal in the home fixture against Mali.

Denis Iguma, Isaac Muleme, Enock Walusimbi and Timothy Awanyi start in a back four.

Captain Khalid Aucho, Taddeo Lwanga, Bobosi Byaruhanga and Moses Waiswa will operate in the midfield.

Uganda is currently third on the group E log, two points behind leaders Mali who face Kenya in the other game on Thursday.
