Next Media workers Makuliiro William alias Makko, Brian Waako and Kawalya Isaac alias Kayz have been granted a non cash bail of UGX 10M after spending five days in jail.

The trio were Friday last week charged with offensive communication and criminal libel and remanded to Kitalya Prison where they have been since.

The presenters together with blogger Ibrahim Tusubira aka Isma Olaxess are accused of repeatedly attacking artiste Mr Emmanual Ssuuna alias Omulangira Ssuuna- on television.

Isma Olaxess was also granted bail yesterday.

According to prosecution, ‘‘the accused committed the crime on August 27, 2021 while at Sanyuka Television, Next Media Services Ltd in Kampala City.’’

They are being accused of allegedly talking about Mr Ssuuna’s family, his financial status and claiming that he’s ever tormented by evil spirits.
