Isma Olaxess real name Ibrahim Tusubira, the chairperson of the Uganda Blogger’s Association, was early Tuesday granted a 10 million non cash bail.

Isma, also known as Jajja Iculi was arrested by CID detectives  yesterday and remanded to Kitalya Prison.

Faced with charges of offensive communication and criminal libel amidst a cash price stake of shs1million by his pursuant, Omulangila Suuna- Olaxes had been on the run.

Immediately after his arrest, Isma told reporters that he is a law abiding citizen who had to answer for all his wrong doings.

He also asked Suuna aka OS to pay the Shs1million he promised to the young girl who found him after bathing.

Meantime, Isma’s co- suspects Isaac Kawalya Ssemulondo alias Kays, Bryan Kennedy Waako and Williams Makuliro who were expected appear in court and apply for bail did not turn up.

The Next Media reporters who were last week remanded to Kitalya Prison, could attain temporary freedom tomorrow if their lawyers finally file for bail.

In an interview with a local tv channel, Herbert Kyewalyanga alias Hubby K, the chairperson of Entertainment Journalists Association of Uganda blamed Next Media lawyers for laxity.

He said the lawyers are not only working at a slow pace but in secret.

Kayz (L) and colleagues are still on remand in Kitalya Prison.

He added, that as EJAU, they’re doing everything possible to get their colleagues out of prison but they are being let down by lawyers of the media company.

This website has learnt that EJAU through MP Muhammad Nsereko who is Isma’s lead council, has started looking for an alternative in case the Next Media lawyers continue to move on a snail pace.

The four are accused of repeatedly attacking musician OS on television some few weeks back.
