New Development:Despite being absent from the technical bench during the game at home due to lack of the mandatory CAF A coaching license, Bbosa has been listed as the head coach as per the travel list.
Wasswa Bbosa, the Express FC head coach has named 18 players to travel to Sudan for the CAF Champions League Preliminary round return leg against Al Merrikh.
Express who won 2-1 against the Sudanese on Friday in Kitende, need at least a draw to progress to the next round when the two sides meet again on September 17, 2021.
And Wasswa Bbosa is optimistic his boys have prepared enough to finish off the job in Khartoum.
“We’ve prepared well and we shall definitely do a good job, the team is aware about the job at hand and they all want to progress to the first round so we hope we arrive safely and execute the game plan,” the coach told club media.
Despite being absent from the technical bench during the game at home due to lack of the mandatory CAF A coaching license, Bbosa has been listed as the head coach as per the travel list.
When contacted by Sta Daily Sport for clarification, Peter Tabu who’s the head of communication at Express, confirmed that indeed Mr Bbosa was traveling with the team. He however shied away from giving details on why Mr Festus Kirumira, the man who was recently hired and sat on the bench at Kitende was missing on the list.
According to a statement released by the club, the squad departs on Tuesday night at 11.45pm and the game is scheduled to take place on Friday 17th September in Khartoum.
