Latest: Police reveals number of deaths in collapsed building

Police reveals”Six people have been confirmed dead after the collapse of the four storeyed building this afternoon. Among those confirmed dead are five male and one female.”

According to Luke Owoyesigyire the Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson, “the fire and rescue services have also rescued two children who are currently receiving treatment at Mulago National Referral Hospital.

The said building was under construction in Kisenyi zone Muzaana Parish in Rubaga Division, Kampala and eye witnesses said it collapsed Sunday afternoon at around 1:PM. It’s is reported that it covered a number of vehicles, motor cycles and workers there-in.

Authorities say the number of people trapped under the rubble hasn’t been established yet.
