PHOTOS: Express celebrate Cecafa triumph

The Red Eagles beat Malawi's Nyasa Big Bullets 1-0 in a final played at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es salaam, Tanzania.


StarTimes Ugandan Premier League champions Express Football Club Saturday won their maiden Cecafa Club championship currently known as Kagame Cup.  The Red Eagles beat Malawi’s Nyasa Big Bullets 1-0 in a final played at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es salaam, Tanzania.

Midfielder Martin Kizza scored the lone goal of the game in the first half to earn the Ugandan side the sweet victory.


Express FC’s triumph means the trophy has come to Uganda for the second season running having been won by KCCA in 2019.

Coach Wasswa Bbosa and his boys were not only happy for winning the competition for the first time in history but also celebrated a season that has arguably been their best in the recent history.
