Cecafa U-23: Byekwaso names team to face DRC

Uganda U-23 head coach Morley Byekwaso has announced his team to face the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) at the Bahir Dar International Stadium in the CECAFA U-23 cup group A match. The game kicks off at 1PM EAT.

Kampala Capital City (KCCA) FC’s captain and goalkeeper Charles Lukwago starts in goal.

Skipper Enock Walusimbi, Aziz Kayondo, Musa Ramathan and Peter Magambo constitute a four man back line.

In the midfield, Bobosi Byaruhanga, Steven Sserwadda, Karim Watambala and Julius Poloto will take charge.

For the search of goals, Byekwaso has deployed the 2021 Under 20 Afcon top scorer Derrick Kakooza alongside URA’s top marksman Steven Mukwala.

DR Congo is a guest country invited by the Cecafa to take part in this year’s tournament.
