Lady Doves drawn in Group A of Caf Women Champions league zonal qualifiers

Uganda’s representatives in the inaugural CAF Women Champions League Zonal (Cecafa) Qualifiers, The Lady Doves have been drawn in Group A of the competition.
Others in the group are PVP FC from Burundi and Simba Queens of Tanzania.

To earn the ticket to the qualifiers, Doves beat UCU Cardinals in an epic Uganda Women Super League Cup early this year.

Ugandan Champions Lady Doves hope to take their local prowess to the region|FUFA.

Group B will have Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Yei Join Stars (South Sudan), and New Generations FC fromZanzibar.

Vihiga Queens of Kenya in which Ugandan export Joan Nabirye plies her trade have been pooled in Group C.

The three-time FKF Women Premier League winners will be up against Scandinavian (Rwanda), and FAD Club (Djibouti).

The tournament will be held in Nairobi, Kenya between the 17th of July to 1st August 2021.

Fixtures for the competition are expected to be revealed in due course.

The overall winner will represent the Cecafa region at the inaugural CAF Women Champions League, to be held in Egypt later this year.

Group A: Lady Doves (Uganda), PVP Buyenzi (Burundi), Simba Queens (Tanzania)

Group B: Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Yei Join Stars (South Sudan), New Generations FC (Zanzibar)

Group C: Scandinavian (Rwanda), FAD Club (Djibouti), Vihiga Queens (Kenya)
