Arua Hill joins Premier League in style

Apart from topping their group, the Arua City dwellers finished the season unbeaten.


Arua Hill Sports Club has earned sporting promotion to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

However, the West Nile side did it in magnificent style. Apart from topping their group, the Arua City dwellers finished the season unbeaten.


On Sunday, Arua Hill thrashed Paidha Black Angels 4-0 to confirm their promotion to the top-flight league.

The win also meant that out of the14 games of the regular season played, Arua Hills registered eight victories and drew six times. Thus, collecting 30 points.

Gadafi Gadihno, Rashid Kawawa (brace) and Ceaser Okhuti were on target for the Leopards as they ended the season in ascendency.

Meanwhile, Tooro United has returned to the Premier League after finishing top of Rwenzori.

This is after they beat Kigezi Home Boyz 1-0 at the Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium.

Marvin Oshaba scored the all important goal from a penalty shot in the 27th minute.

Four teams that include Gaddafi, Blacks Power, Proline and Nyamityobora will play in a promotional play off to determine who joins the two in the 2021-2022 Premier League.

Gaddafi takes on Nyamityobora and Blacks Power will play Proline in the semi-final on a date yet to be confirmed.


Mbale Heroes and Paidha Black Angels were demoted in the Elgon group.

Kigezi Home Boyz as well as Terrazo and Tiles were the two relegated clubs in the Rwenzori group.
