Uganda Cup: Here’s the full list of the round of 16 fixtures

At Wankulukuku, Express take on URA in what is arguably the biggest fixure at this round while Onduparaka will take on SC Villa at the Ababet Green Light Stadium.

Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has confirmed the dates on which the two legs of matches of the Stanbic Uganda Cup tournament round of 16 stage will be played.

UPDF host Vipers at the Army Military Barracks stadium in Bombo on May 1st, 2021 in one of the three games that kick off the first leg matches.

At Wankulukuku, Express take on URA in what is arguably the biggest fixure at this round while Onduparaka will take on SC Villa at the Ababet Green Light Stadium.

A day later, holders Proline host former winners Mbale Heroes in the first of the double header at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, kicking off at 1 PM.

The second match shall witness Police up against Soltilo Bright Stars at 3:30 PM.

Wakiso Giants take on Tooro United at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium on the same day as Maroons host KCCA at the Prisons stadium in Luzira.

BUL will take on the winner between Kitara and Kigezi Homeboyz on Wednesday, 5th May 2021.

Return Legs:

Vipers versus UPDF at St Mary’s on Monday, 3rd May 2021 will be the first.

Twenty four hours later, (4th May 2021) there will be three games on card; SC Villa play Onduparaka in Bombo, Tooro United against Wakiso Giants in Fort Portal at the Buhinga stadium and URA will be up against Express at the Arena of Vision in Bombo.

On Wednesday, 5th May 2021 Police FC travel to their home ground, Kavumba Recreation Ground to play Soltilo Bright Stars.

KCCA host Maroons at Lugogo in the other game of the day.

Mbale Heroes against Proline at the Mbale Municipal Stadium in Mbale city will be the last fixture on Thursday.

Points to note:
•The winners’ prize money was in the 2021 edition increased from shillings 40 Million to 50 Million.

•Proline are the current holders having won the 2019 edition after beating 10 man Soltilo Bright Stars 5-4 in post match penalties.

•Normal time had ended 1-1 at the Masaka Recreational Stadium.

•The competition was suspended in 2020 due to restrictions put in place by government of Uganda because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

•This is the 47th edition of the Uganda Cup that started in 1971.

•The Uganda Cup is currently bankrolled by Stanbic Bank and paint makers Kansai Plascon.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2021 edition unlike the previous ones started at the round of 32 with only Fufa Big League and Premier League teams taking part.

•The competition under normal circumstances begin at preliminary stages while teams in Fufa’s two top leagues join at the round of 64.
