Express FC head coach Wasswa Bbosa is expecting a hard game as they take trip to Jinja to play Kyetume FC tomorrow at the round of 32 in the 2021 Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Express come into the encounter on the back of a 3-1 win at home against URA FC in the Uganda Premier League while Kyetume lost theirs at home against Police FC.

“We are very prepared for tommorow’s game against Kyetume in Uganda Cup.It’s a different tournament and we are going to play away from home. The last time we played Kyetume the game ended in 0-0 draw however we created many chances though we failed to score. This time we worked on how to score goals and the players are aware that our main target is to win both competitions [the StarTimes Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup],” Bbossa said.

Kyetume earned a 0-0 draw at Wankulukuku in the first round of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League. However, the two teams meet at a time when hosts have not won in their last six games, a reason that forced the management to make changes in the technical department.

The club over the weekend announced it had appointed former Uganda Cranes player and assistant coach Jackson Mayanja as their new gaffer.

Mayanja who was serving as the club’s head of technical, replaced another Cranes former player Alex Isabirye who had spent just about a month in the coaching role at the Mukono based side.

Express was eliminated from the tournament by SolitiroBright Stars on penalties.

The two sides will meet again on Friday 9th April at Wankulukuku for the return leg
and the overall winner will qualify for the round of 16.
