My deal with Spanish club will push me to work harder- Owori

Former SC Villa midfielder David Owori has told Sta Daily News he feels great to have joined Velez FC, a forth tier Spanish club.
” I feel so great to join Velez fc in Spain. It’s a good opportunity for me as a football player with big dreams,” he said.

The Ugandan signed for Velez on a one year deal untill the end of 2021/2022 season. He is optimistic the deal will help him reach greater heights.
“It’s going to push me to work harder so that I can join another bigger side,” Owori exclusively told this website.

Owori had an impressive stint at SC Villa, a performance which attracted numerous local clubs to chase for his signature after running out of contract. He however snubbed all of them and remained un attached.

David Owori has previously played for Nsambya Young stars academy, Wembley soccer academy, Lukuli United, Proline FC, Vipers and SC Villa.

Velez confirmed the signing of the Ugandan midfielder on Tuesday via Twitter.

About Owori’s new club:

Velez FC is a Spanish club based in Velez- Magala, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. It was founded in 1922 .

It’s plays in Tercera Division Group 9 and they host their games at Estadio Vivar Telles with a capacity of 2,100 seats.

They are currently on top of the log with 34 points from 17 games.
