Steven Mukwala scored a brace against Onduparaka on Wednesday and took his goal tally to 9| IMAGE COPYRIGHT- URA FC.

URA FC striker Steven Mukwala has set his sights on retaining the golden boot award this season in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Mukwala emerged the league topscorer last season with 13 goals while playing as a loanee at Maroons FC from Vipers.

The striker thereafter joined URA FC, a club where he has scored nine goals in the first 15 of the 30 games of the season.

Mukwala has been on a great run of form and has finished the first round as the top marksman.

After scoring twice away against Onduparaka on Wednesday, Mukwala talked to club media;
” I am improving in each and every game . My target this season is to retain the top scorer’s award that’s why I joined URA FC.”

However, the forward is well aware he couldn’t do it alone.
” I congratulate my teammates and coaches because we work together as a team,” he said

URA FC is topping the table with 36 points after 15 games, followed by Vipers and Express on 33 and 32 points respectively.
