Police FC assumed summit of the Uganda Premier League table with a 2-0 win over BUL FC on Tuesday afternoon at the MTN- Omondi Stadium.
Midfielder Johnson Odongo and Brian Mayanja Muluuli scored the all important goals that helped the Cops move a point higher than second placed Vipers SC. The two scorers were also on the score sheet last Friday as Kyetume FC fell 3-1 at the same ground. Odongo has also been named man of the match in both matches.
Police have collected 16 points from seven games while Vipers have 15 from the same number of matches.
Vipers on the other hand faltered against Kyetume on Tuesday (today) drawing 2-2.
Paul Mucureezi( 49′) and Yunus Sentamu (88′) helped the champions to salvage a point against a resilient side that had led the game through goals scored by Yusuf Sharif Ssaka, (13′) and Richard Matovu (21′).
Vipers Friday host Police at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende in a top of the table contest.
