KCCA FC continued to drop points this season in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League when they suffered a 2-1 defeat courtesy of BUL FC at Kyabazinga stadium, Bugembe.
Musa Esenu and Robert Mukongotya were on target as the hosts secured an all important victory while Charles Lwanga scored the visitors’ consolation.
Esenu gave BUL the eagerly awaited lead just after the half-hour mark and the boys from the East held on until the break.
Mukongotya doubled the hosts’ lead two minutes into the second half through a free kick thanks to a foul by Filbert Obenchan.
Brian Aheebwa had a chance to reduce the deficit but goalkeeper Abdul Kimera saved his penalty.
It was however substitute Charles Lwanga who scored what ended up as a consolation. The loss to BUL means coach Mike Mutebi and his boys have now suffered three successive identical 2-1 defeats. Before the league went into the break to allow the Uganda Cranes take part in Chan, KCCA had lost to SC Villa and URA.
The 13 time league champions remained 5th in the table with nine points while BUL moved to 11th with five points from six games.
BUL return to action on Tuesday when they visit current leaders Police FC at Lugogo while KCCA makes a trip to Wankulukuku to face rivals Express FC on Wednesday.
