UPL Match Day 6: BUL, KCCA lock horns in Jinja

BUL FC will host KCCA FC tomorrow at Kyabazinga Stadium in Jinja at 4PM.

The hosts seek to change their home fortunes and pick maximum points off KCCA on match day 6 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League after failing to win in their last five league games played at their backyard.


In the last 7 meetings between the two sides, BUL has managed just a win and 6 losses while the reverse is true for KCCA.

Although BUL are yet to register any victory at home this season, they hope to rely on their immediate past form against the Kasasiro boys.

The last time both sides met, BUL FC claimed a 3-0 win over Mike Mutebi’s men

The home side will miss the services of defender Peter Onzima and forward Vitalis Tabu through injury.
However, they welcome back Deogratias Ojok.

Meanwhile, KCCA will be without a number of players including six members of the squad who are currently in Mauritania with the Uganda’s Under 20 team getting ready for the AFCON U-20 finals.

Besides the six players that are away on duty with the Uganda U-20 National Team in Mauritania, there are those that will miss the game through injuries.

Those on the Uganda Hippos (U-20) include Steven Sserwadda, Musa Ramathan, Joseph Kizza Bukenya, Sam Ssenyonjo, Joseph Kafumbe and Andrew Kawooya.

The club will also miss Sadat Anaku, Gift Ali, John Revita, Dominic Ayella and Julius Poloto who are nursing injuries.

BUL players will need all the energy to beat the boys from Lugogo|Club Media.

In their last game, BUL suffered a 1-0 loss away to kyetume FC.

They are currently 12th out of 16 teams having garnerned just four points from five games.

On the other hand, KCCA go into the game after losing 2-1 to URA FC and SC Villa before the league broke off to allow the Uganda Cranes take part in the 2020 Chan.
They are in 5th position with 9 points from 5 games.

BUL FC will bank on the services of their topscorer Joseph Semujju, Musa Esenu, Denis OKot whereas KCCA will put their hopes in league topscorer Brian Aheebwa, Keziron Kizito, Bright Anukani and goalkeeper Charles Lukwago.

“BUL FC has always given us a lot of problems but we have a lot of quality players to accomplish the task ahead of us.The break has helped our new players to gel with the rest of the squad and also those who were nursing injuries have recovered well.”
