StartTimes uganda premier resumes on Saturday 6th February 2021 after a break created to allow the Uganda Cranes take part in the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN). In the fixture, defending champions Vipers SC host newcomers MYDA FC at the St Mary’s stadium Kitende at 3pm.

Vipers who are currently 8th on the log of l6 teams head into the encounter aiming at victory having won their last game against struggling Busoga United FC 5-3 away in Jinja whilst MYDA FC are just third from the bottom with no win in four games so far played this season in the league. The Tororo based club drew 3-3 with Mbarara City FC in their last game.
Fred Kajoba’s side go into the game with aboost of the return to Kitende of striker Yunus Sentamu who will be hoping for a new lease of life at a club where he scored goals for fun. The Venoms will also house their hopes in their current top scorer Paul Muceerezi, David Bagoole ,Orit Ibrahim and the return of captain Halid Lwaliwa.
“It’s the work we’ve been doing on the pitch for weeks now and its been going well. we’ve to score and equally defend well.” coach Fred Kajoba told club media on Friday.
“The goals we have conceded are avoidable and we are hoping to do better, plus the boys are already aware of the importance of maintaining a clean sheet,” he added.
Abdul Samadu coached side, MYDA FC will put their hopes in their lead net buster Ibra Nsimbe who has 5 goals on his name this season.They will be boosted by the new signing Paul Musamuli who comes with alot of experience and composure having played for KCCA FC and Buildcon in Zambia.
