The Kampala Lord Mayor Erias says he is devastated by the demise of Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata Battle. Lukwago who is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, says Muzaata’s death is a sign that life is nothing else but vanity.
“The sad news of the demise of Shelk Muzaata Batte has reached me here at my sickbed in Nairobi Hospital and I feel extremely devastated. Life is nothing else but vanity. Enyiike n’ekiyongobero binzita bannange. Allah amusonyiwe byonna ebyamusobako amuwe ejjana Firdaus.
Inna Lillahi wa inna illaihi Rajihuuna,” the Lord Mayor tweeted.
Muzaata was confirmed dead by his family members on Friday. He has been at the International Hospital Kampala for close to two weeks where breathed his last.
Lukwago on the other hand, was forced to halt his Campaigns through which he seeks to return to the City Hall due to un known illness.
He was later flown to Nairobi, Kenya about a week ago for further management after reportedly spending some time at Rubaga and Mulago hospitals in Uganda.
The Lord Mayor told a local radio station on Friday morning that he was about to undergo his last medical test and he was optimistic he would return to Kampala soon to resume work.
