Match Day 3: (First Leg) – 12th November 2020 – Uganda Vs South Sudan – St Mary’s Kitende (4 pm)
Match Day 4: (Second Leg) – 16th November 2020: South Sudan Vs Uganda – Nairobi (7 pm)
The Uganda Cranes will November 12, 2020 host the Bright Stars of South Sudan at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, CAF has confirmed.
The two teams will meet once again in Nairobi just four days later for the return leg of the 2021(postponed to 2022 due to Covid-19) qualifiers.
Upon return from a five day training camp in Dubai, UAE, Uganda Cranes head coach Johnathan McKinstry recently released a 20 man provisional squad composed of foreign based players.
The coach said those playing in the domestic league would be assessed further and later on he would pick who joins the twenty.
His counterpart coach Ashu Cyprian is not resting either. He has assembled a provisional squad of 37 players who are currently undergoing training.
The Bright Stars have been engaging in a series of trial matches including the two international friendly games against Cameroon in Yaounde a few weeks ago.
Uganda leads group B on four points from two games followed by Burkina Faso on the same number of points. Malawi is third on three points while South Sudan lies bottom with no point.
