Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) FC have officially unveiled Brian Nkuubi as their latest catch on a 3-year deal from Vipers SC, the club has confirmed.
In an exclusive interview with URA FC media, Nkuubi said he is ready to face the stiff competition at the club.
“I’ve seen a lot of good players at URA FC and I expect competition for positions. I have enough experience and I feel I can add a lot to the club in the coming season.”
He added:“I want to continue playing at a high level and compete with the best on the title and the club seems on the right path to provide that.”
Brian Nkuubi becomes the latest addition to the tax collectors’ squad as they try to assemble a force that will compete in the forthcoming StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) 2020/2021 season.
URA has also acquired the signatures of Jackson Nunda, Galiwango Arafat, Hannington Ssebwalunyo and Davis Ssali.
Head coach Sam Ssimbwa believes the new boy will have alot to add on the already strong squad.
“He is a player that has developed a lot during his time with Vipers SC in terms of responsibilities on the pitch, he will offer us a lot going forward and will prove key to our attack,” Sam Ssimbwa told club media.
Nkuubi joins URA as a free agent having been disposed off by Vipers SC, a side he had joined in 2015 from Kira Young.
Despite being part of the Venoms for a number of seasons, the midfielder failed to command a starting role.
