The Netball World Youth Cup will take place during the period from the 1st – 19th December 2021, the International Netball Federation (INF) has announced.

“International Netball Federation (INF) has announced the Netball World Youth Cup will take place during the period from the 1st – 19th December 2021 – the precise start and end dates of the netball competition will be confirmed in the forthcoming weeks. In July, INF in consultation with the host country Fiji decided to postpone the event from June 2021, given the uncertainty of the COVID-19 Pandemic,” INF said in a statement.

Uganda, South Africa and Malawi will represent Africa at the competition. The three teams qualified on a regional ranking basis after the cancellation of the Regional Qualifiers due to the outbreak of the deadly Covid-19 pandemic.

Before the qualifiers were called off, Uganda was due to host a number of African countries in Kampala to determine which nation would represent the continent on the world stage but that will not happen.
