Proline appoint ex player Bongole as head coach

Proline football club have appointed former player Anthony Bongole as their new head coach. He has been tasked to stir up the Fufa Big League side for the next two years.

“Anthony Bongole has been appointed as our head coach on a 2 year contract,” the club announced in a tweet on Saturday.

Bongole has been part of the establishment at Proline having joined the technical team in 2019. He now replaces former boss Baker Mbowa who left the club for Premier League side Bright Stars at the end of the season.

Bongole’s immediate task will be helping Proline regain promotion to the top tier league after they were relagated last season.

The club has also appointed Issa Sserwanja and Swaib Ssebagala who are both coming through the ranks at the club to assist Bongole.

Before joining Proline’s technical bench, Bongole had previously coached at Arua-based Doves All Stars in the FUFA Big League. He was also in charge of a couple of games at the tail end of the season when coach Baker Mbowa was away for treatment.
