Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC have officially announced the signing of Juma Balinya from Kenyan Champions Gor Mahia FC.
The communication that was made on Sunday via KCCA TV (airs courtesy of Sanyuka TV), ended speculations surrounding Balinya’s future.
Although not divulged by the club, it’s rumoured that the forward signed a three year contract with KCCA FC and will be at Lugogo up until 2023.
Although seemed deem for years, Balinya’s candle shone brighter in the 2018/19 season, as he scored 19 goals for Police FC and thus, topping the scores’ chart in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
There after, he joined one of Tanzanian giants Yanga FC. However, just within months, the two parties terminated their agreement by mutually, a move that gave the Ugandan green light to move to Gor Mahia.
Despite having a promising start at K’Ongalo, the record KPL winners seemed not interested in his services anymore as he was listed among those that were supposed to leave at the end of the season.
Apart from Juma Balinya, Manager Mike Mutebi has so far made other seven new signings. These are;
Samson Kigozi, Stefano Mazengo Loro, , Denis Iguma, Bright Anukani, Brian Aheebwa, Charles Lwanga and Ashraf Mugume.
The Lugogo side has also promoted Dominic Ayella from their Junior team.
Having lost the Championship to Vipers last season, KCCA are hungrily attempting to win back joy to their faithfuls.
Before joining Police, Balinya had previously played for Vipers (Bunamwaya) SC and Lweza FC in the Uganda Premier League.
