Express Football Club Chief Executive Officer ( CEO) Isaac Mwesigwa has reacted to the FUFA Dispute resolution chamber ruling which was announced by FUFA on Tuesday morning.
Mwesigwa who joined the club at a time when the matter was heating up, has revealed the club is at peace with the ruling and the player and wish him the best in future.
“As a club we let football win. we didn’t want to drag this issue for so long,” Mwesigwa told club website.
Disan Galiwango was found guilty for breaching the pre – contract clause by the FUFA Dispute resolution chamber.
And thus, he was ordered to pay Express FC Ugx 25 million with Ugx 15M being the refund which he received from the club when he renewed his contract in November 2019 and the extra Ugx 10M as compensation.
In their ruling, the FUFA Dispute Resolution Chamber said Dissan Galiwango shouldn’t be issued a player’s licence until the total
amount of UGX 25,000,000 (Twenty five million shillings only) is fully paid
to Express FC.
Express FC’s only responsibility is to avail the account number on which the amounts shall be
deposited, the judicial body further directed.
Early July, Vipers SC unveiled Galiwango as their first signing on a four year contract.
