Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Salim Jamal Magoola has sought redress from World football governing body ( FIFA ) Players’ Status Committee over his club, Al-Hilal’s refusal to remit his arrears.
Through his representatives Juan de Dios, Crespo Perez, Alfonso Leon and Gytis Rackauskas, the player wrote to FIFA head of player status Erika Montemor Ferreira. Jamal wants FIFA to force the Sudanese club to allow him terminate the contractual obligations between the two parties.
“Statement of claim against the Sudan football club Al-Hilal Sports Club before FIFA dispute Resolution chamber with regards to the present international employment related contractual dispute between the claimant and the respondent in connection with the unilateral premature termination of the employment contract with just cause for outstanding salaries pursuant to the provision of the article 14bis of the FIFA regulations on the status and transfer of players.” Jamal’s letter to FIFA reads in part.
Jamal, who has previously played for Express and KCCA FC in Uganda, joined Al-Hilal in 2018 from another Sudanese club Al-Merrikh.
