Just in: AIGP Asan Kasingye confirms he has tested positive for COVID-19


Assistant Inspector General of Police Asan Kasingye who is the chief political commissar of Uganda has tested positive of COVID-19. He confirmed the bad news on Sunday afternoon using his twitter handle.

Kasingye is believed to be among the 97 cases that were reported by the Ministry of Health on Sunday, amidst a surge in the cumulative numbers of Covid-19 cases in Uganda.

Among other responsibilities, Kasingye is the current chairman of Police Football Club.
