Uganda registers yet another record number of new Covid-19 infections in aasingle day. Ministry of Health says 98 cases were confirmed from tests done on 20 August 2020.

As it has consistently been for some time now, Kampala remains the most affected with 75 out of the confirmed cases.

Others came from Luwero (6), Jinja (3), Tororo (2) and four (4) persons are shared among Adjumani, Buikwe, Kasese and Ntoroko.

Five truck drivers who arrived from Kenya and three returnees from Kenya, DRC and South Sudan are the rest of the 98.

This brings the cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans to 1,848.

Todate, Uganda has registered 19 deaths resulting from Covid-19 while 1,199 people have successfully recovered.
