Five Members of Parliament have Monday August 3,2020 officially joined the National Unity Platform (NUP), bringing the total to six, including the party president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine. Hon. John Baptiste Nambeshe (Bududa), Hon. Nsamba John Patrick (Kassanda), Hon. Latif Ssebagala (Kawempe North), Hon. Zaake Francis (Mityana Municipality) and Hon. Kalwanga David were the new members unveiled by Kyagulanyi at the Party headquarters in Kamwokya, Kampala.

The new party also had Division Mayors Ali Mulyanyama (Makindye), Emmanuel Serunjoji Owedembe (Kawempe) and Balimwezo Ronald (Nakawa) swearing allegiance to be part of the team. Bobi Wine , who also doubles as Kyadondo East legislator, said many more leaders including councillors at different levels were also joining the National Unity Platform.

John Baptiste Nambeshe (Bududa), Hon. Nsamba John Patrick (Kassanda), Hon. Latif Ssebagala (Kawempe North), Hon. Zaake Francis (Mityana) and Hon. Kalwanga David now have a home in NUP.
